SUN-LOVING SEDGE (Carex pensylvanica)

A common woodland sedge that is often mistaken for short, soft grass. Plants form small clumps and are real head-turners when they flower early in the spring. Sun-loving sedge is tolerant of disturbance and quick to move in when the canopy opens up. Makes a great ground cover.
