SARTWELL’S SEDGE (Carex sartwellii)

Gold to brown flowering stems are relatively few compared to other wetland sedges, but they are usually taller and stand out above the surrounding vegetation. Sartwell’s sedge likes to keep company with northern reed grass, woolly sedge and Buxbaum’s sedge.
