LONG-BEAKED SEDGE (Carex sprengelii)
A very ornamental woodland sedge that grows in large, circular tufts. The pendulous seed heads bear long-stalked clusters of large, beaked fruits that dangle from the main stalk.
Grows with star sedge, downy wood violet, and sweet-scented bedstraw.
