Bog muhly

An attractive, mid-sized grass of wet prairie habitats.

BOG MUHLY (Muhlenbergia glomerata)

Flower spikes bear some resemblance to June grass, but are less uniform. As the name suggests bog muhly prefers wetter habitats – areas that are prone to seasonal flooding.

Grows with four-flowered yellow loosestrife, grass of Parnassus, golden alexander, tufted hairgrass and shrubby cinquefoil.
