TUFTED LOOSESTRIFE (Lysimachia thyrsiflora)
A very unique plant that does well in a wide range of wetland conditions. The mid-section of the plant sports round clusters of “fluffy”, bright yellow flowers at the end of long stems. It’s always a treat to see tufted loosestrife in bloom.
Grows with water smartweed, Sartwell’s sedge, hard-stemmed bulrush, various-leaved pondweed and greater bladderwort.
