FOUR-FLOWERED YELLOW LOOSESTRIFE (Lysimachia quadriflora)

This yellow loosestrife is ranked S2, or imperilled, in Manitoba where it reaches the northwest extent of its range. Narrow leaves (opposite or in whorls) and yellow upside-down flowers make it an attractive member of wet meadow and wet prairie habitats. Grows well with fowl manna grass, tufted hairgrass, sticky asphodel, flat-topped goldenrod, many-flowered aster and Nuttall’s sunflower.
