SMOOTH ASTER (Aster laevis)
Smooth aster brings welcomed colour and an important source of pollen and nectar to the late summer/fall landscape. It’s found in a wide range of habitat types, from dry to moist, producing copious amounts of mauve flowers. The leaves, as the name suggests, are very smooth, making it easy to distinguish from other asters.
