SILVERWEED (Potentilla anserina)

A beautiful ground cover that tends to thrive in areas where species diversity is low – such as sedge meadows and packed gravel. The bright yellow flowers aren’t the only attractive feature of this plant – when the leaves flip over in the wind, they reveal striking silver undersides.

Grows with showy goldenrod, many-flowered aster, northern bedstraw, Buxbaum’s sedge and woolly sedge.
