Meadow blazingstar is a highlight of any prairie walk – especially because it’s a favoured nectar source for monarch butterflies. Pink pop-pom-like flowers appear in long, narrow terminal spikes that mature from the top down. Naturally occurring in moist prairies, reaching up to 3 feet. Grows with many-flowered aster, wild strawberry, showy goldenrod, glaucus white lettuce, big bluestem and Sorghastrum and fringed brome.
