FIDDLE-LEAF HAWKSBEARD (Crepis runcinata)
Rubbery-textured leaves in a basal rosette give way to tall, leafless stalks topped by loose clusters of dandelion-like flowers. Flowers are visited by several species of native bees and hover flies.
Grows with big bluestem, mat muhly, bog muhly, golden alexander, harebell, wild licorice and panicled aster.
